Nudeart exhibition „SUDECKA VENUS”
Galeria Fotografii w Świdnicy
Świdnica, Rynek 44
17.09.-10.10.2022

This is a collective nude art and portrait photographic exhibition, referring to the perception of the beauty of the female body. It is also a way of feeling and aesthetics of photography. The exhibition you can see is the result of meetings of a group of photographers from the Czech Republic and Poland, dealing with the issue of the female nude. The meetings are held annually as part of the Łyse Open Air Festival in Lower Silesia. This is a reference to a certain history of nude photography, which developed very intensively in Lower Silesia in the 1980s, and more specifically in Książ Castle. The largest open-air nude photography sessions in Europe were held there, initiated by Andrzej Protasiuk. The fruit of these meetings were open-air exhibitions organized in Świdnica.

The SUDEC VENUS exhibition, as we mentioned earlier, is a reference to times and space, and a reminder of those years. Analyzing the way the thought is contained in the compositions, we have a simple message about what the word Nudeart is (so often pauperized in modern consciousness).

This year’s Łysy Plein Air took place in the Palace in Gorzanów near the Kłodzko Valley, in a beautiful historical architectural space not only of the building itself but also of a multi-hectare garden, all of which can be seen in the photographs. We would also like to thank the owners of the Palace for providing the facility and for their beautiful understanding of what Nudeart is.
